Great Are You Lord

Great Are You Lord
For the month of February I thought I would pick very special songs for my Worship Wednesday selections. This is a month filled with the talk of love. So how fitting would it be to choose songs dedicated to our pure love for the Father. Not asking for anything- just pure worship to Him as our worship is the one thing He cannot give Himself. He loves our worship to Him.

The first song for this month that I chose is "Great Are You Lord" by All Sons & Daughters. This song is a love song to the Father-I love the harmonies-its just so beautiful.

You give life, You are love
You bring light to the darkness
You give hope, You restore
Every heart that is broken
And great are You, Lord
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only
You give life, You are love
You bring light to the darkness
You give hope, You restore (You restore)
Every heart that is broken
Great are You, Lord
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only
And all the earth will shout Your praise
Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing
Great are You, Lord
And all the earth will shout Your praise
Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing
Great are You, Lord
And all the earth will shout Your praise
Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing
Great are You, Lord
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only

Hidden

Hidden
It was back in 2016 when I was laying on my couch feeling very weak and tired because I was unable to eat or drink anything.  My muscles were starting to ache from the lack of calories and I just had no energy. I had been feeling that way for several weeks at that point and was starting to get discouraged and really fearful of the unknown.

At that point I was so sick, my doctors couldn't do any of the necessary testing so all of the "what if's" were running rampant throughout my mind including the C word-which is actually what my gastroenterologist thought I was dealing with due to my rapid weight loss and other symptoms.

It was hard for my family to see me like this because these symptoms came on fairly suddenly- one morning I was okay and the next I was not.

Needless to say it was a lonely and isolating time.

During the most scary times in life what has helped me most is music- especially worship music. The saying is true. You simply cannot worry and worship at the same time. So I diligently and intentionally played songs to encourage me during this time period and the song "Hidden" by Will Reagan and United Pursuit was one of the songs that stayed on repeat daily.  If you are facing a storm I pray it blesses and lifts your spirits today!

"HIDDEN"

There was one when I was young
Who knew my heart
He knew my sorrow
He held my hand
And He led me to trust Him
Now I am hidden
In the safety of Your love
I trust Your heart and Your intentions
Trust You completely
I'm listening intently
You'll guide me through these many shadows
As I grow
And as I change
May I love You more deeply
I will lean upon Your grace
I will weep because Your goodness is unending
You are my vision
My reason for living
Your kindness leads me to repentance
I can't explain it
This sweet assurance
But I've never known this kind of friend
I can't explain it
This sweet assurance
But I've never known this kind of friend
The sun, moon, and stars
Shout Your name
They give You reverence
And I will do the same
With all my heart I give You glory
The sun, moon, and stars
Shout Your name
They give You reverence
And I will do the same
With all my heart I give You glory
I want to seek You first
I want to love You more
I want to give You the honor You deserve
So I bow before You
I am overcome by the beauty of this perfect love
I want to seek You first
I want to love You more
I want to give You the honor You deserve
So I bow before You
I am overcome by the beauty of this perfect love
Now I am hidden
In the safety of Your love
I trust Your heart and Your intentions
Trust You completely
I'm listening intently
You'll guide me through these many shadows
Now I am hidden
In the safety of Your love
I trust Your heart and Your intentions
Trust You completely
I'm listening intently
You'll guide me through these many shadows

Million Little Miracles

Million Little Miracles
The song I chose for this week's worship Wednesday is "Million Little Miracles" by Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music.

It's funny because when I heard this song for the very first time I did not like it at all. I didn't listen to the whole song and the part I did hear just sounded kind of elementary to me or cornball-ish. The issues was really my heart was not in a place to receive what the singers were singing at the time. We all have those seasons.

I heard it again a few months later- this time I had heard a verse I had not listened to previously and it immediately caught my attention. I couldn't believe it was that song I had turned off months earlier.

I cannot tell you how many times I have looked back over my life in disbelief that I am here standing today as a fairly successful woman. There were so many miracles along the way-some big but many many small ones.

I pray this song blesses you. I would love to hear your miracle stories big and small-fell free to comment below!

All my life, I've been carried by grace
Don't ask me how 'cause I can't explain
It's nothing short of a miracle I'm here
I've got some blessings that I don't deserve
I've got some scars, but that's how you learn
It's nothing short of a miracle I'm here
I think it over and it doesn't add up
I know it comes from above
I've got miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Miracles on miracles
Count your miracles
One, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all
You held me steady so I wouldn't give up
You opened doors that nobody could shut
I hope I never get over what You've done
I wanna live with an open heart
I wanna live like I know who You are
I hope I never get over what You've done
It's not coincidence and it's not luck
I know it comes from above
I've got miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Miracles on miracles
Count your miracles
One, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all
Miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Miracles on miracles
Count your miracles
One, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all
I can't even, I can't even count 'em all
I can't even, I can't even count 'em all
I can't even, I can't even count 'em all
One, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all
Yeah, I can't even count 'em all (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
I try and I can't keep up (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
Yeah, I can't even count 'em all (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
Count 'em (one, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all)
Like when You healed my mother (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
When You redeemed my father (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
Even in the death of my brother (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
You were closer than no other (one, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all)
Oh, You broke my chains (I can't even)
You saved my life (I can't even count 'em all)
You set me free (I can't even)
You gave me victory (I can't even count 'em all)
Oh, I can't even count 'em all (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
You kept my mind, Lord (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
You healed my body, Jesus (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
Oh, I can't even count 'em all (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
I try and I can't keep up (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
'Cause every day there's a new miracle (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
I got breath in my lungs (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
I got clothes on my back (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
My mother would say, I got food on my table
(I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
Lord, I know that You're able (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
Say, I can't even (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
I can't even (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
I can't even (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
Too many to count (I can't even, I can't even count 'em all)
I've got miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Miracles on miracles
Count your miracles
One, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all
Miracles on miracles
A million little miracles
Thank you Jesus for the miracles on miracles
Count your miracles (one)
One, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all
One, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
One, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all
Every day, there's a miracle
One, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all
Last time, right here
One, two, three, four, I can't even count 'em all

All That I'm After

All That I'm After
It is often so easy to praise the Lord when everything is going well-The question is will you praise Him in the midst of your storm?

For this week's worship Wednesday I bring you a very special song sung by one of my favorite worship leader's, Kalley Heiligenthal out of Bethel Church in Redding, California.

She wrote this song after the sudden death of her two year old daughter, Olive, She had stopped breathing and the church had been praying for a miracle for Olive, and that miracle didn't come in the way they hoped. The rawness she sings this song with gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.

We all are going to face the trials and tribulations that this life can bring, Will you choose to praise Him?

I pray this song blesses you as you go through this week!

Verse 1
My Savior in the darkest valley
My shepherd in the open pasture
My leader for the path before me
My Father when I don’t know the answers
Pre-Chorus
Surrendering is easy when it comes to You
I was made to love You, it’s the least that I can do
Chorus
Here’s my life, no hesitations
So deserving of it all
I enthrone You in the center
You’re all that I’m after
Here’s my heart, no reservations
You are worthy of it all
It’s my joy to live surrendered
You’re all that I’m after
Verse 2
All the things that I’ve been holding
I’ll give it all to find You fully
There you are extended toward me
You fill me up to overflowing Bridge
You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy

To You

To You
It's a brand new year. Can you believe it? 2022!!! When I decided to restart Worship Wednesday I had been thinking for a few days about what song I wanted to be the very first song of the new year. One day day while I was driving during my workday listening to my pandora worship playlist a song had come on that I had never heard before and when it finished I knew then and there , it would be the one. "To You" by Maverick City Music  is beautiful song that speaks of running back to the Father with your arms wide open-falling deeper in love, knowing He will meet you half way. The song contains so many beautiful elements and really takes the listener on a journey. May it bless you.

To You Lyrics

[Verse 1: Chandler Moore]

Coming back to You

Not just coming, but I'm running

Beneath the surface

And what my eyes have seen

Past the temporary, yeah

I hear You beckoning, yeah

To fall a little deeper, yeah

Further than I've ever known

I'm breaking through the boxes, yeah

I'm running to Your throne

[Chorus: Chandler Moore]

And I'm coming back to You, ooh

I'm coming back to You, ooh

I'm coming back to You, ooh

I'm coming back to You, ooh

[Verse 2: Chandler Moore & Maryanne J. George]

What's every other option, yeah

When I know the sweetest choice? (Oh, my God)

My flesh may be a beggar (Yes, it is)

But my spirit knows Your voice (Yes, it does)

And I won't be satisfied (No, no, no)

With temporary pleasures (No)

I wanna taste and see in full (Yes, I do, Lord)

What I've only known in you

[Chorus: Chandler Moore & Maryanne J. George]

Let's sing it out y'all, say:

I'm coming back to You, ooh

I'm coming back to You, ooh

I'm coming back to You, ooh

I'm coming back to You, ooh

[Spontaneous: Chandler Moore & Maryanne J. George]

All the way, all the way, all the way back

Coming back to what we've always known, Jesus

It's our first love, our first love

[Bridge 1: Chandler Moore, Chandler Moore & Maryanne J. George]

I hear the song You're singing

Crying out, "Run, child, run"
